Welcome to Monks Website
Where living cheaply does not mean going without, it means doing more with the resources and assets you have. “Waste not, want not” is a trusted proverb for a reason – it works. I’m just an old country boy, never been rich but never been poor either. Some folks call me cheap, I prefer frugal. Spending money foolishly is, well, foolish. The old saying, “A fool and his money are soon parted” makes me wonder how they ever got together in the first place.

I believe spending wisely and saving up for wanted items is not just a good strategy for controlling your personal finances, it’s a less stressful way to live. Worrying about how you are going to pay for something is harder on you than putting a few pennies away. The best way to get out of debt is to not get into it in the first place.

If you absolutely positively have to have it there are ways to get it cheaper. You don’t have to pay a lot to get a lot. You can live better for less. That’s what this website is about, learning to live cheaply and to live well. I’m not promoting a get rich quick scheme. I wish I had one I could sell you (it seems those money making opportunities make a lot of cash for the ones selling them) but all I have are some money saving tips and dollar stretching tricks to help your hard earned paycheck go farther. Ways you can spend less and get more.

You can live on less and get more. There are shopping methods - buying tips - when and where to purchase those things you want. Cheaply. I hope to introduce you all of them.
